A place where recovery begins — and never has to end.
Oldest NA group in Tarrant County · Founded 1978 · 48 years of hope
View Meeting ScheduleStep One NA has been a home for people in recovery since 1978. Whether you're walking through the door for the first time or coming back after years away, there's a seat for you.
We're not doctors, counselors, or judges. We're people who understand — because we've been there too.
"We admitted that we were powerless over our addiction — that our lives had become unmanageable."
Open meetings — all are welcome. No dues, no fees, no requirements.
Meetings start on time. Please arrive a few minutes early. Coffee is always on. ☕
NA is a fellowship of people helping each other. No one is here to judge where you've been — only to support where you're going.
What you hear here, who you see here, stays here. Your anonymity is protected — always.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. That's it. No dues, no fees, no sign-ups.
Step One NA was founded in 1978, making it the oldest Narcotics Anonymous group in Tarrant County. For nearly five decades, this group has opened its doors to anyone seeking recovery from addiction.
Located on Benbrook Highway in Fort Worth, Step One has been a cornerstone of the local recovery community. Thousands of people have walked through these doors — some on their worst day, some celebrating decades of clean time, and everything in between.
The group runs on the same principles that have guided NA since its founding: one addict helping another. No professionals, no fees, no agenda — just people who understand addiction sharing their experience, strength, and hope.
48 years later, the doors are still open. The coffee is still hot. And there's still a seat with your name on it.
That's okay. You don't need to say anything, sign anything, or commit to anything. Just show up. Someone will make sure you feel welcome. Many of us were just as nervous our first time — and we're glad we came back.
No bosses. No hierarchy. Just addicts helping addicts. Here's what to expect.
Come early, pour yourself some coffee, and settle in. This is your house. The coffee's always on, and there's always someone willing to show you around. Welcome home.
Chairs in a circle. No front of the room, no podium, no authority figure. We sit as equals because that's what we are. Find a seat wherever you're comfortable.
There's no president, no boss, no one running the show. We're all equals here. The group conscience decides how things go. Every voice matters — including yours.
Each meeting has a chairperson — but they're not "in charge." They open and close the meeting, pick a topic, and keep things moving. It's a service position, not a power trip. The chairperson also signs court slips and verification forms if you need them for probation, CPS, or court.
You don't have to talk. Ever. If you want to share, raise your hand or wait for an opening. If you'd rather just listen, that's fine too. No pressure. No expectations.
At the end of every meeting, we circle up, hold hands, and say the Just For Today meditation together. Then we pack up chairs together — because service keeps this thing going. You belong here.
Court slips & verification letters? The chairperson can sign those at the end of any meeting. Just ask. No judgment, no questions about why you need it. We've all been there.
